This issue of the FDLI Update highlights a panel discussion on FDA and “Interagency Dynamics” at FDLI’s annual meeting. The article notes that the panel, moderated by Catalyst President Nancy Bradish Myers, brought together current and former officials from HHS, USDA and DOJ and FTC to discuss FDA’s role within HHS and how FDA works with other federal agencies to communicate, collaborate and make decisions. For example, the panel explored how DOJ and FDA lawyers collaborate on litigation; how FDA and CMS interact; and how FDA and FTC have approached their somewhat overlapping authorities.
