On July 23rd, 2020 during the Informa Pharma Intelligence COVID-19 24-hour Webinar Series Event, Catalyst’s Nancy Myers was a panelist on the “How to Work with the US FDA When You Can’t Meet with Them” session. The panelist discussed best practices for how sponsors can facilitate effective virtual meetings, highlighting the importance of practicing with the virtual meeting platform, having a back-up plan if the platform or device stops working, and coordinating with your team to determine key topics and questions to be discussed. They stressed “you only have one shot” and, because there are no visual cues or reading of body language, to “maximize passion in delivery” of the presentation to make the best impression.
